Journal of Climate Change (JCC) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing engineering and technical knowledge that addresses the causes, impacts, and mitigation of climate change. The journal provides a platform for researchers, academics, and professionals to publish original work that delivers practical and measurable solutions, with emphasis on engineering applications and technological innovation.
Scope
The Journal of Climate Change (JCC) publishes high-quality original research, rigorous reviews, case studies, and technical reports with a strong focus on engineering and applied solutions to climate change. Core areas include sustainable energy technologies—covering the development, integration, optimisation, and performance evaluation of renewable systems such as solar, wind, geothermal, and biomass—as well as engineering solutions for mitigation through mechanical, civil, structural, and environmental approaches that reduce emissions, improve efficiency, and enhance resilience. The journal also addresses pollution and waste engineering, including the design, treatment, and management of air, water, and solid waste systems; water science and technology, with emphasis on treatment, conservation, distribution, and climate-resilient infrastructure; and atmospheric science and modelling, featuring technical studies and computational models on air quality, greenhouse gases, and climate systems. Broader work on renewable energy, sustainability, and the environment is also welcomed, particularly where it demonstrates engineering applications for low-carbon development. JCC maintains strict editorial independence, with all submissions undergoing rigorous peer review to ensure scientific integrity and technical quality.
